We’ve observed that on average, the majority of DORMU customers feel the benefits of a weighted blanket between 7 and 14 nights of use. This may vary for some people who may instantly benefit from the weighted blanket.
The blanket cover is machine washable. We recommend washing on a low gentle setting, using a non-chlorinated bleach. The inner weighted blanket should be gently washed by hand or dry cleaned.
We’re convinced the DORMU sleep collection will help you get a great night’s sleep, but if you’re unsatisfied with your items you can return them to us within 60 days of arrival for a full refund. Terms & Conditions apply.
DORMU is at the moment exclusively online. Our 60 days returns policy means you can have the peace of mind of trying the blanket risk-free, though we’re convinced you’ll love the improvement in your quality of sleep.
The weighted blanket and its cover are both made from 100% lyocell bamboo, a plant- based material that is not only silky–smooth and feathery soft, but is also temperature- regulating and extremely breathable. You can count on the weighted blanket to keep you comfortable all night long.
Lyocell bamboo is primarily known for its luxuriously smooth and soft qualities. It is also naturally hypoallergenic, anti-microbial and, as a result of its thermo-regulating and breathable qualities, cooling. It’s also very easy to care for and any wrinkles melt back into place overnight. Most importantly, lyocell bamboo is organic and sustainable. The manufacture of lyocell bamboo does not harm our beautiful planet, animals or people. These are just a few of the reasons why lyocell bamboo is DORMU’s choice.
An ultra-breathable, hypoallergenic, durable and thermoregulating material. Bamboo is often described as the ethical alternative to silk but we think it’s so much more than just a like-for-like alternative.
Unlike silk, bamboo is naturally longer lasting when used for sheets and pillowcases. It’s not only better for the environment but for your wallet too.
The large gaps between smooth strands enables air to flow evenly through the material, making it one of the most breathable and thermoregulating fabrics available. Unlike silk, which is delicate and must be hand-washed, bamboo is stain-resistant and won’t discolour over time. On the contrary, it becomes softer with each wash!
Using a bamboo pillowcase is also bliss for all hair types, Whereas cotton pillowcases cause friction and the dreaded “bedhead” which can damage your hair, bamboo is gentle on your hair follicles and less disruptive.
Lyocell bamboo is also the most environmentally friendly variant of this sustainable material as it’s produced in a closed-loop meaning there is no water wastage during production!
